Are They Selling For You? (Using Testimonials To S*e*l*l!)


Brides can get easily overwhelmed and

confused about who they should hire and

who to buy from. There are sooooooo many

choices and so many wedding vendors trying

to sell, sell, sell! With all the competition for

brides’ attention, it calls for a little creativity and thinking outside the

box…so let’s get crafty.

Brides like to talk about their wedding – especially to other brides in

the planning stages. They will talk up your services and how you totally

saved the day. They’ll share how they couldn’t have done it without you

and more. You just have to help them focus their cheerleading for you to

be your BEST non-paid sales rep!

Educate them on how to sell for you. Most brides just need to be asked

and guided in the right direction. Simply explain that an ideal bride

referral for you is someone JUST LIKE HER (as long as that’s true of

course!). Ask her to look out for friends, family and colleagues who may

be experiencing the exact same frustrations she did before hiring you.

Help her remember life before you and how you helped to solve her

problems. And let her know how you can do the same for her friends in

need!

Ask for a testimonial that speaks volumes to other brides. (HINT:

these are the ones that REALLY sell your services.) You don’t just want a

bride saying, “Thanks for everything. You were great on our wedding

day.” I mean, that’s fabulous and all, but it doesn’t sell. Here’s an

example of one that sells. Keep in mind that sometimes brides need you

to show her others that will help other brides see the value in your

services! Here’s a great testimonial from one of our own past brides:

“Thank you so much for all the time and effort you and your staff put into

planning our wedding. When we first started, all we were sure of was that we

wanted a beautiful, outdoor wedding that represented us-our style, our likes-in

every detail. We dove right in not knowing exactly how to get where we wanted

to be. After hiring you, we were so thrilled to see how you made everything

come together. The wedding was all we hoped it would be.

Because of you, it was truly a dream wedding.

Thanks again for everything-everyone continues to

compliment the day. “ Elenn & Trae Adams

Add her name and a wedding-day picture to the

testimonial for best results. The BEST testimonials that

sell include the bride’s name and a fabulous bridal picture. Brides WILL

believe that this is a REAL bride talking you up as opposed to a “pretend”

bride that you made up. Remember that the KNOW, LIKE, and TRUST

factors are HUGE! And that’s exactly what this builds up … in a fabulously

big way!!

Devote an entire website page to testimonials. Once you have these

priceless sales gems, they will only work for you if you use them. Add a

tab to your site that states “Testimonials” clearly and then make SURE to

reference them everywhere else in your promotions too!

Stop pushing so hard, and get your non-paid $ALES force selling for you

ASAP! Put these steps in motion in your business and rely on your brides

to sell your services better than the best sales rep ever could!
