And they can’t agree on anything, either, their biggest group is Assemblies of God with 60 million members.

In other words, the Protestant’s biggest group is 1/20 the size of the Catholics. Their next biggest group is German Lutheran Evangelical at 38 Million. Then Southern Baptist Convention coming in
Third at 16 millilon. Isn’t that pretty sad?

They can’t get anybody to buy their line of goods, and yet they claim to be “the chosen?”
The largest Muslim Denomination in the World isn’t even Arab. It is a Modernist Sunni Indonesian Denomination with 30 million members. Islam is not monolithic. It is even more fractured and split than Protestantism.
And by the way, the Catholic Church got 17 million converts last year, more than ALL branches of Islam. And we are beating them on their home turf, in Africa.

Blah blah blah. We have 1.2 Billion under one leader you don’t. Deal with it.

Religion is not a business. You don’t sound very Christ-like to me.

Keep in mind there are 1.5 billion Muslims in the world.

    Don’t get too cocky yet.

    EDIT

It’s hard to believe you all believe in one God when you seem so divided. It’s actually really sad.

    I feel sorry for you.

Could folks give up the “Catholics vs. Protestants” thing for Lent and just get along in spite of their differences?

  • Insecurity Kills says:

youre a bloody jerk aint you mate?

well to say it the simplest as a possible

1.2 billion are going to hell.

The majority isn’t always right. And Catholic theology is a moving target. It’s changed dramatically just in my lifetime.

Well, Catholics don’t agree on everything, either.
I presume you are Roman Catholic. I am not; I am Orthodox, and yes, Orthodox ARE Catholics. If you are Roman Catholic, you are taught to believe in the Filioque clause in the Nicene Creed. Orthodox Catholics disagree with this. In this clause, you would say that the Holy Spirit proceeds from the Father AND the Son (Filioque in Latin) as a Roman Catholic. As an Orthodox Catholic, we believe this proceeds from the Father and, at most, THROUGH the Son. Heck, even Roman Catholics don’t fully agree with Filioque; it is absent from the Greek texts in Roman Catholic churches.
So overall, what point were you really trying to make?
    Newell: NEWSFLASH-WRONG!
Apostolic churches, by nature, are Catholic. They are universal, which is the meaning of Catholic. That YOU follow the Bishop of Rome and claim believe him infallible does NOT make make Orthodoxy less Catholic; in the eyes of the Ecumenical Council, it makes YOU a member of the ORIGINAL PROTESTANT MOVEMENT.
Learn something about humility before you open your mouth about things you really know nothing about.
Edit2: What’s to deal with? You’re the one that has to deal with the Bishop of Rome; I don’t. I deal with an Ecumenical Council which treats all its representatives as equal; actually, when you think about it, it’s more in line with the makeup of the Apostles, is it not?
Your arrogance is truly unbecoming one who calls themselves a believer in Christ.

    Well first off…

    They aren’t selling anything!

The Word of God are free to anyone willing to listen.

The example set by Jesus is free for anyone willing to look.

Sure some churches ask for money but the message is free – no one is selling it so there is nothing to ‘buy’.

Second…In my humble opinion I do not care where you worship – every religion I ever heard of says the same basic things, such as don’t murder, steal, lie…

  • Ryes says:

The message is not for sell . It’s for free, take it or leave it. But yes there are Billions who are follower of the True living God. Praise Him.

its pretty sad but thats life
