Agreed about the KJV. Do not take other translations lightly, Satan himself used the Word of God to mislead people and the slight changes can change a whole concept…Look how the majority of Christians have forgotten the Sabbath? Mainly because A few people misinterpreted a few stretched verses.

I totally agree. If someone is leading you to Christ from a NKJ or a NIV, does that mean that you are not truly saved, because of the translation ? Absolutely not. People who are stuck in that KJV is the only version, do you think they would want surgical tools from back then used to operate on them today ? lol

that isnt true. the king james is just a translation and a compilation if u want a “pure” bible go back to the hebrew and greek manuscripts. i dont know if you understand everything in the bible but i know i dont and the translations today make it easier to understand God’s will

As much as I want to take care of this issue by myself, I can’t. I have a lifetime friend that has delved into a world of drugs that is poisoning him…and I hate the person that he is and I want to help him so much. But I can’t. I can’t relate to him anymore. So I just hope that he will find something or someone through God that will make him want to quit the drugs. I want my best friend back. I’ve tried to forget him, to say “tough shit” and leave him alone. But I can’t. I care way too much.

anyways that what got me to stop being afraid to talk to them about jesus. And believe me people are interested in things of God . whether they like it or not they will ask questions. so be prepared.

I finally talked to one of my atheist friends, and I took a lot of time listening to them, to. Christians are hated today because there are so many factions that believe we are the only way. We need to all pull together and show God’s love to as many people as we can. Let us be the generation that shows the love of Christ. Don’t get me wrong, I’m as afraid of rejection as anyone else, but we have to put that fear aside. We should have a bigger fear.
…We aren’t responsible for the result but we must be prepared to accept that those results will occur & that it is God’s responsibility not ours. People will call us fools & they will mock us but they did that to Jesus too & if we share in that? Then we share in His suffering. God bless you all : )
The second & probably more important is to bear in mind the parable of the sower & the seed. We learn from that , that the Word will produce certain reactions but that the Sower scatters the seed even on stoney ground regardless. Conversion & Salvation are God’s job not ours. We are simply called to witness to our experience of Jesus in our lives not defend God. He’s perfectly capable of doing that for Himself & no-one has all the answers….
Bin there done that. Strangely I find that I don’t have to bring up the subject. Others who are non-believers do. I take this as a prompting from the Lord. One of the chief fears I think is that we’re often afraid that we wont have the answers to their questions or objections. A good remedy for that is to read the posts other believers here or on Christian or religious chat sites make when faced with unbelief. …
I have those moments when I am forwarding a christian email where I hesitate before typing some names. Every time this happens to me I stop and think how proud I am to be a Christian. God never hesitated with us and never will we need to remember that as we witness. Thanks be to God that we are free to worship him always.
