How come people always say “Does a bear **** in the woods?” or they ask “Is the Pope Catholic?”?

Those two expressions are another way of saying “Yes” to a really stupid question, one where the answer is obvious. The Pope is obviously Catholic and a bear obviously s***s in the woods, just like the answer to the question is obvious.

The two expressions are not supposed to be used together but sometimes people get them mixed up because they mean the same thing.

They basically just ways of saying yes… Bears live in the woods sp naturally they poop in them….and obviously the pope is catholic…. Now if you wanted a way to say no you could ask “does the pope poop in the woods” and people would know your answer was no as obviously the pope ,a really old powerful religious man isn’t going to go off pooping in the woods
