How can this exactly be done? One cannot hate a bird for flying or prevent a fish from swimming.

    Your analogy is incorrect. The bible calls homosexuality a sin. The bible does not say a bird flying or a fish swimming is sinful.

    Now…if a person rejects the bible as being the word of God; that’s up to them.

    I think that you should get the word hate out of the way first, hate is too suggestive in my opinion and it tends to hot wire the Christian too come on far too strong.
    I suggest that friendly disagreement with the act of homosexuality and solid reasons why it offends God will still get the message across and if done tactfully should not be as offensive to the other Person.
    We should never forget that every single person has an in-built personal dignity and that God loves them in spite of sin.
    The ranting of some hardcore Christians does nothing to help homosexuals understand their need for grace but instead leave them even more alienated and angry at the God Who loves them.

    Being gay is a choice? It’s amazing how so many non-gay people seem to know what gay people think and feel – I wish I could read minds too. Maybe they were given that gift by their wise and compassionate God.

    You must not have children. When a child does something wrong it is easy to not like the sin, but still love the child. The difference is you believe that homosexuality is not a sin. Christianity says it is. However, Christianity also says fornication, lying, gluttony, pride, lust, are sins also. Eventually, we all fall under some sin or another. That is why we need a Savior, because no one is perfect to stand before God. Jesus made a way for all people to reach God. If you are a gay person Christ came for you too and loves you too. Don’t let anything keep you from the love of God. You accept Christ just as you are regardless of your sin. He does the changes in you that He wants. God Bless you.

    its because sin is from satan its not the really persons fault like someone else said everyone sins and no sin is worse than another people look at sins diferently but God looks at a lie as just a bad as murder so we’re to try and help those to turn from there sins so really everybody ought to be there help everybody else but this world is far from that

    That is St Augustine, not the Bible. Sin is detestable, it is slavery. It leads to eternal damnation. The same reason Jesus took pity on us is why we are to take pity (=love) the sinner — because of the terrible things that can happen to them. You try to help. You should.

    Birds are designed for flying. Fish are designed for swimming. Humans are designed, among other goals, for sexual reproduction, which requires a man and a woman.

    Since children are “reproduced,” they need a mother and father, in love with each other and committed to build a home, for better or for worse.

    We are happiest, and God is most pleased, when we act in concert with our designer to become the creature he designed, a creature made in the image of God.

    God hates any sin that destroys his people, and sexual sins infect the body with a variety of deadly sexually transmitted diseases. They also twist the mind by turning away from God, as detailed by St. Paul in Romans I.

    Nonetheless, God loves his creatures and yearns for their happiness, not only in the few decades on earth, but for untold eons in eternity.

    Christians do not hate anyone. That is why they do not hate the sinner. They may hate the sin, like you said. But hating someone is a very un-Christian like thing.

    These nitwits still think homosexuality is a choice. There is no reasoning with them. “Hate the sin, love the sinner” is just another ridiculous piece of “logic” created by religious folk who don’t have 2 brain cells to rub together.
