Why buid it on the same site !!! .. commanality in belief is a stupid argument !! I can say that from Indian history, where mosqueues were built by destroying temples at that very site. I am a Christian who is interested in the absolute truth and I must admit that lately I have been questioning the types of things that well, some people might frown upon.
Because of personal experiences God has more than gone out of his way to show me that Jesus is the Messiah.
However, I often wonder how much of what we do as Christians is what Jesus would actually want. I suppose it’s the same with Islam and sifting through the falsehood.

During the Christian era the temple’s hypostyle hall was converted into a Christian church, and the remains of another Coptic church can be seen to the west.
Then for thousands of years, the temple was buried beneath the streets and houses of the town of Luxor. Eventually the mosque of Sufi Shaykh Yusuf Abu al-Hajjaj was built over it. This mosque was preserved when the temple was uncovered and forms an integral part of the site today

actually God reveals that all those who have been idolized are sleeping in death, waiting for the Resurrection…and they have no idea how or when they will be resurrected or what is going on now. He also reveals that they will disown the idolatry of them on Judgment Day.

i disagree though…most of the OT is correct, but has some questionable things in there.
have you ever read Psalms and Proverbs?
those books are full of wisdom. also Isaiah is full of true prophecy that not only had fulfillment in ancient times…but has prophetic meaning for our day.
anyway, everyone can believe whatever they do.

I agree, both books have their positive influences, but PEOPLE corrupt the messages, whether given to them by prophets or regular men.
The OT is mythology for the most part, with just enough historical reference to give it credibility to some people.
But, one can not find miracles using archeology.
You deny, by accepting this religion, the Hindu, ancient Egyptian, Polynesian, Incan, Mayan, and countless other religions.
Superstition is Superstition by whatever name you choose.

If you removed all the repetition from both, I doubt that you would have more than 500 pages to the Bible and 200 for the Qu’ran.
There ARE some beautiful passages in Psalms, I’ll grant you that.
But, for the most part, they both are a waste of good ink and paper.

i have read the Quran many times gjsterp,
i have read it enough times to know that while the Previous Scriptures have been altered…most of it is true. also, that God clearly says we must follow the Quran…AND what was given to Moses and Jesus and ALL of the Prophets from their Lord.
you do not throw away the Bible just because you discover the Quran.

I did. Although, I am only one third of the way through it. The Qu’ran is more of a guide for living. The Bible BLOODY mythology.
Remember, Mohammed was trying give his people something to believe in, not unlike Moses supposedly did.
So, while the stories may differ, the underlying motives are the same: unification/ identification.

What does Chap 24 say about miracle seekers?
You read your knowledge, but it is so contradictory, that you can’t really make sense of it.
That makes it a mystery to some people.
To others, it is just contradictions and nonsense.
Isn’t that what some Christians are trying to do today?
Tell Jesus when HE is coming.
Doesn’t Jesus say specifically that NO ONE WILL KNOW THE DAY, and that you should just be prepared? Yet, it is Also Written:
Matthew 24:34
“I tell you the truth, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened.”

Quran contradicts. There is no argument. I thought the name of the muslim God was allah? YAHWEH is not allah. Again, broken down, “allah” is “the+god”. YAHWEH and allah are not one in the same. And no, the new testament doesn’t contradict the old testament. It is fulfilled prophecy of the Savior that was written in the book of Isaiah. Jesus is God.

the Quran does not contradict the Old Testament. it is the New Testament that contradicts the Old Testament and the Quran…and even itself.
