The song is one of my favorites. Be Still and Know that He is God! It’s so awesome to know that He has done so much for this human race. No man deserves it. Not one. I can’t help but be still and be in awe of the matchless love of our God. Simply speechless…

Can God save me from this dark abyss I am in? I’m having problems with my boyfriend. You see, I am now in love with someone I crushed on before in my childhood. Can God save me? :(

@tria68 God did not hate Esau.. Esau disobeyed God, so God punished him…

@tria68 As the first born Esau was entitled to a double portion of the family estate. He also inherited his fathers inheritance of a everlasting covenant with God .Esau scorned Gods promises

<3 this is my favourite song and scripture

  • fdgdsch says:

The passages in Malachi and Romans that you are referring to taken in context have nothing to do with the human emotions of love and hate. The passages were referring to the Edomites (the descendants of Esau). In the context of both of these passages, God is simply saying that He chose the descendants of one brother over another. It has nothing to do with Him hating an individual. God hates sin but does not hate sinners. Anyone who tells you differently is “cherrypicking” verses out of context.

me too! i’ve been playing this song a lot for the past few days now that schedules are filled up and deadlines are blaring. GOD is so good in providing encouragement!

I haven’t listened to this song in a long time! I saw him sing this live and I fell in love with it. I need to listen to this song more often now that things are getting hectic in school. I just need to take a moment and be still..

Read Romans 9. God can do what he wants to his own creation. the potter can do what he wants to his clay. just like the only purpose God created Pharoh was to raise him up and do the things he does, God hates everyone who is in sin. Read all the verses about his wrath (aka hatred) against sin and those who do it. not JUST sin, but the sinner as well

I love this song! But it really is the verse, the word of god, that gives it its true depth. I think songs that are simply the word of god put to music are powerful. We make this life so complicated and busy. but god is here in the quiet, in the still, in the beauty of his creation, like stars at night or the rustling of leaves from wind through the trees, peace is at the eye of the storm and the peak of a mountain. peace be to all of us, in knowledge of our lords return.

  • phlmaneto says:

Wow, Grace and Peace to all of You!!

The choir at my church sang this at my younger brother’s funeral back in 2001. He was in the choir and they had been practicing this song for months and he was wanting to know when they (the choir) were going to sing it. The director couldn’t find the “right time” to sing it before he died. My family along w/ the music director agreed that that was a very appropriate time to sing it. Now, when it is sung it has a whole new meaning to people who were affected by his death. : ) : (
