Athiest’s Christmas Message
New video:
www.laughorcrytv.com Ed Surname’s second Alternative Christmas Speech, featuring an attack on Christianity which, of course, shouldn’t affect the belief of true believer’s if, in fact, they truly do believe. For instance, if someone were to attack a book that I believe in, such as a Science book, I would not be offended since no matter what they say, I still believe in it.

Going to Do Some Christmas Shopping? Read This First

Everywhere you look online, and off line you find another cause or charity you could support. Everything from donating food to donating several thousand dollars for housing. There is a good reason behind these appeals, and something that should be supported. But, in these times of economic turmoil, how do you find the extra money to support these, when the money isn’t there?
The group that is planning the teen and college mission trip to San Pedro Sula, Honduras in July 11-18, 2009 has a way you can do your usual online shopping, and not spend any extra money than you normally would for your shopping purchases, but help with the mission trip.
The area of San Pedro Sula, Honduras has many needs. Some of the needs are adequate housing, clean water, food, economic substance, health care, and the message of God’s love and power to change their lives. Not every need can be met on one trip. The group is being led by Dan Moran International Ministries. Dan has a heart for the Honduran people and leads several mission trips a year to the San Pedro Sula area. He takes care of all logistics from here, and has a director of the operations in the San Pedro Sula area to coordinate the needs with the group that is coming. Some of the things the teen and college age mission group will be doing are:
* Working with local feeding centers
* Ministering in daycare centers
* Working with our partnering church, Jerusalem Baptist
* Crusades in local schools and at the new church site
* Construction project with Jerusalem Baptist and their daughter church (possible)
* VBS at day care centers and churches (possible)
Although it is easy to see the need of the Honduran people, the mission project also fulfills a very important need in the lives of the teens and college age students. It gives them valuable life lessons., in giving them a compassion for people who are different than them in circumstances, but every bit loved the same by God. They can understand the common bond of mankind everywhere. The young people who experience these mission opportunities develop a stronger sense of appreciation of the advantages of freedom in the United States. They develop a thankfulness of the relatively easy life they have compared to many in Honduras.
I have accompanied the group on three other mission trips, one to Vero Beach, Florida, Virginia Beach, Virginia, and Nikiski, Alaska. On these trips I have seen the group take their job very seriously, and work hard. The work they have done has been things such as painting, roofing, building wheel chair ramps, repair and rebuilding decks, replacing windows, drywall, insulation, and more. Each project has stretched them to do more than they thought they could. Each project has prepared them a little more to be a well rounded, productive adult.
To find out how you can support the efforts of this group without coming up with extra money, look at the website, and blog http://www.MyHeartForHonduras.org. Please explore the site to find out more about us, and the Honduran people.
We are an approved 501 3c organization.

Atheists Love Christmas Too!
New video:
eighteenth century, scholars began proposing alternative explanations. Isaac Newton argued that the date of Christmas was selected to correspond with the winter solstice, which in ancient times was marked on December 25. In 1743, German Protestant Paul Ernst Jablonski argued Christmas was placed on December 25 to correspond with the Roman solar holiday Dies Natalis Solis Invicti and was therefore a “paganization” that debased the true church. In 1889, Louis Duchesne suggested that the date …
Donating to Honduras Missions by Christmas Shopping!

Are you spoiled? I like to think that I’m not, but in reality I am. Have you ever heard yourself spouting that your house wasn’t big enough, you want new carpet, you need a new car, and you don’t have enough money? Some of these things have been classified by our American lifestyle as a need instead of just something desired. That’s spoiled. For most of us the basic needs of shelter, clothing, food, and clean water, has expanded to the best and biggest house, designer clothing, gourmet food, and the best brand name bottled water.
In contrast, the Honduran people have struggles to just have the basic needs. They have to be concerned whether their little shack of a home will withstand the next tropical storm, or flash flood. Sanitation isn’t always easy when your floor is dirt. The color or designer of clothing are given no thought. What to have for dinner is a basic need question, rather than “I don’t know what I feel like eating.” Which bottled water to choose isn’t a question. Any clean water is a luxury.
A mission team of ordinary people are going to San Pedro Sula, Honduras,on July 11 – 18, 2009. This group is made up of people of all ages from Kennesaw First Baptist Church, in Kennesaw, Georgia. Why do they want to go? It is the desire to help people. It is the desire to give to the Honduran people the extra help they need to just have a comfortable, healthy life. It is the desire to show them and teach them of God’s love. A general list of things the group will be doing, follows:
Working with local feeding centers Ministering in daycare centers Working with our partnering church, Jerusalem Baptist Crusades in local schools and at the new church site Construction project with Jerusalem Baptist and their daughter church (possible) VBS at day care centers and churches (possible)
Will this mission experience be entirely a one way sharing? Absolutely not! We will have some very important life lessons to learn. The Honduran people are known for their happy, friendly disposition. Is this because they have so much? No. They have so little in material blessings. Yet many have discovered the real source of peace and satisfaction in life. They have discovered Jesus Christ.
You may not be able to go to Honduras on a mission trip, but you can support the mission team, and help the Honduran people. In this time of a tough economy, you may be thinking you don’t have any extra to give. We have set up a web site in support of this mission project to explain more about the needs of the Honduran people, and the needs of the mission team to be able to make this trip a reality. Through this site you will be able to do your Christmas shopping, not paying any more than the retailer normally charges, but have a percentage given back to the group for the Honduras mission project.
