I have heard some people call Adolph Hitler a “good Christian” or a “good catholic”. I wonder if they are actually serious, or if they are just trying to instigate hostilities?
Jesus said “By their works you shall know them.” I don’t care how many pious speeches a man makes, or how many times he walks into a religious building, or how much money he gives to “charity”: a butcher is still a butcher. Are people really fooled by the whitewash? Does walking into a church make you a christian? If so, then does walking into a MacDonalds make you a hamburger?

Cured ??? yea, right! I took the cure and am now 100% gay…it worked amazingly well. I was bi before I decided to be cured of this illness. Thankfully, my cure ‘took.” I seriously doubt that most people can say that. Of course, it may be easier to be cured of being Straight than being Gay…I have no statistics on that one.

When you die, you go to the “Pearly Gates” and confess your sins or repent to Jesus/God, and he forgives, right? So why would people be worried about that?

and then there’s this answerer who said: “Catholics suck, Christians rule!”
I mean, how has ignorance like that spread like wildfire? who’s to blame?
these types of Protestants seem to be thinking they have a monopoly over the word “Christian” and that they ARE Christianity. it’s so absurd.

“Christian” or the Christian religion includes Catholics and Protestants. Both are Christians.

The historical, Biblical Gospel invitation is “Repent and Believe” (Mark 1:15, Acts 16:31, etc.).
Why do so many “evangelists” use watered-down invitations such as “Ask Jesus into your heart” or “Let Jesus save you” or “Make a decision for Jesus” when nothing like this is in the Bible?

I saw on one site people acted like “Jewish” was the name of a religion, like Christianity or Buddhism. Granted, these were 12-25 year-olds. Be that as it may, I would think America would be a little better educated than that. Just because the words “Christianity” and “Christian” are so similar doesn’t mean that Americans have to assume the same for everyone.
I mean, look at the word “anti-Semitism.” Is the word “Jew” in there? No. Nevertheless, it is the hatred of Jews.
Of course, the average American is so dumb that they had to rename the Molasses guy in Candyland Chocolate, since most American children don’t know what molasses is. Go figure.
I only mean that it sounds stupid to couple the word “Jewish” with Christianity as in the sentence, “Followers of both the Jewish religion and Christianity attended the convention.” Well, it works, however, it lacks symmetry…therefore, it is wrong, or economically inefficient.

The FBI gave the standard profile of a serial killer, He is a person with few friends. He became much more religious just before he started murdering people. After reading all the available studies I could find and studying all the articles in the newspapers for over 30 years, I find what is most outstanding is Serial killers were sexually inhibited by their strong religious upbringing.
Nearly all serial killers are very devout men who were raised by members of Pentecostal sects, fundamentalist Catholics or were ‘hard-shell’ Baptists and Methodists.”
Studies after study show serial killers are a product of this environment, not genetics.

Serial killers have a cog loose in their brains. They could just as easily be reading The Cat in the Hat and find a way to justify their actions based on Dr. Seuss.
Those studies are aimed at coming to that conclusion.
