according to one of the Saint, said: Run-away from the house of sins!

  • averitas says:

Identity Crisis is on here, Catholic Clips has that as well. I will look for the others for you.

    Peace.

I have recently ordered these videos; I have all of Bishop Sheen’s audio, and a lot of his video; besides the copyright law, is there any reason why I cannot find
God is Dead, Identity Crisis, 30th Parallel anywhere? There are others. Can someone guide me? I grew up with Bishop Sheen’s telecasts!
These are a must have; I have called left voice mailed

  • DortAmKlavier says:

*heavy sigh* “The nuns drop the long habits.” “We drop the beads.” Oh, Vatican II…

  • timnolan1972 says:

Believe whatever you want, friend. I don’t care two tosses whether you like Thomas Paine or not.

  • huntthehunt says:

Why should Thomas Paine be so sacrosanct when you lightly dismiss (as he does) the faith of countless greater minds and persons through two millenia as profiteering frauds?

…do you really believe Thomas Paine was a better person and a keener mind than St. Augustine, St. Thomas Aquinas, St. Vincent de Paul, St. Thomas More, Dante, Giotto, Michelangelo, St. Catherine of Siena, Therese de Lisieux, Mother Theresa?… (I mean it’s ridiculous to even try to make a representative list…)

Thank you for sharing this with the rest of us. God bless your heart.

  • musico747 says:

“You look at a women and have sexual thoughts? You are going to hell.” Wrong, that is more indicitive of a puritan belief. “You miss mass on Sunday? You are going to hell.” Wrong.

Catholics belief in truth, not “fearmongering”, truth in the historical Jesus, truth in creation of the World, truth in morality and thus a better civilization.

I’m sorry you’re so confused. The Church has let you down.

  • timnolan1972 says:

What When did I say cath’s are puritans?

  • musico747 says:

You obviously have no clue what you’re talking about. Catholics are not puritans.

  • 1tontomato says:

Religion loves life. Paganism and atheism hates life. Just look at the case of Hitler, he was an atheist and look what he did to the human race. Religion loves life and humanity, it’s the opposite of what you might think.

  • 1tontomato says:

You simply don’t understand Catholic doctrine and I forgive you for that. Many people have misconceptions and are ignorant of the Catholic faith.

  • MrCATHOLICSOLDIER says:

    wat

  • nsolcis says:

true it creates division, would you expect good people and bad people to be reside in the same frame of mind?

  • timnolan1972 says:

No you are not, you called the man who helped lay the foundation of an independent USA a shit head; a man who helped in the creation of the government which is the blueprint for all democracies around the world. A man who with the help of his fellow patriots fostered an end to tyranny and repression from the “Defender of the Faith” King George III. I as an American am offended by your comments, you should read “Common Sense” before you pass judgement on people. Futher comments will not be read

  • priest008 says:

Am I not civil? I will not give away who I am but beleive me I grew up in a very civil environment, one you wouldn’t even imagine. But still the person you quoted is a “shit head” because it takes a shit head to invent history, and History is factual… the Church is not man made.

  • timnolan1972 says:

Fearmongering is the cornerstone of the Catholic Church. You look at a women and have sexual thoughts? You are going to hell. You miss mass on Sunday? You are going to hell. Threats, threats and more threats, fear, ect.

  • timnolan1972 says:

Thomas Paine was not a shit head, he was an enlightment era thinker and writer, helped in creating a free and independent USA.

  • timnolan1972 says:

As I said, anger animosity, and hatred. Don’t post to me anymore if you cannot be civil.

  • priest008 says:

who is the shit head you quote? a mere mortal say I not? I quote jesus Christ an immortal one, the immortal one, the supreme one!

  • timnolan1972 says:

All national institutions of churches, whether Jewish, Christian or Turkish, appear to me no other than human inventions, set up to terrify and enslave mankind, and monopolize power and profit. – Thomas Paine

All you hear is bickering, this is what relgion does to people, it creates division, animosity and hatred. Forget all of it.

  • priest008 says:

“take this and eat this is my body and my blood which is given for you, do this in memory of me”
I don’t seen protestants with the Eucharist!
Go forgive sins in the name of the father and of the son and of the holy ghost, who sins you forgive will be forgiven, who’s sins you retain will be retained.

  • BlackCappa says:

I know that passage and use it against those ignorant of true Christian doctrine.
Notice it says nowhere “by faith alone”?

Just compare your protestant idea with 1 Corinthians 13 which makes faith alone useless when it is not with charity.

You’re simply using the standard anti-Catholic polemic, mate: nothing which would cause us problems.

  • BlackCappa says:

Ah ignorance of history, okay :)

  • BlackCappa says:

The root word of “protestant” is “protest”: that is a protest against the teachings of the Holy Mother Church.
