The fuel gauge on my 1994 Cadillac STS Seville does not work why?
Dear Fellow Yahooer’s:

I have a 1994 Cadillac STS Seville the little fuel gauge at the top which goes from E to F isn’t working and I was just wondering if anyone had any help for me to get it to work?
Please submit all answers to here please and thank you. As I would really love to get it to work.

Respectfully:

You don’t want to know how much work it is to drop the fuel tank, open the access port on the top of the tank and replace the float inside the fuel tank. An experienced mechanic should test all the wiring from the dash gauge to the fuel float before you “dive” onto dropping the fuel tank.

It’s either a bad fuel level sender, bad body computer or bad wiring. Easiest way to check is to unhook the connector at the fuel level sender and attach a gauge tester that simulates a fuel level sensor. If the guages work, you’ve got a bum fuel level sensor.
