They all believe in false hope

  • good tree says:

JW’s do not believe that Jesus is God, they do not believe in the trinity, they believe the Holy Spirit is a force in the world but not a person. They don’t believe in hell but in annihilation. They don’t believe that the spirit is at work through miracles today.

JWs seem to feel the need to go round knocking on doors at UNgodly hours & tryin to convert heathens like me.
they predicted the world would end, to the day, many years ago.
when they wrong, they picked another day.
when that day passed & they were wrong, they just sort of stopped talking about it. idiots.

  • Em says:

    Jehovah’s Witnesses are Christians,

  • gtahvfaith says:

JW’s don’t believe that Jesus is God

  • jack99skellington says:

Jehovah’s witnesses believe that when you die, you don’t go to heaven. Instead you just die. Then later, if you were good, you are resurrected physically.

They don’t believe in many types of medicines, blood transfusions, etc, and that if you die because you didn’t get faith-healed, then that was gods will.

They also don’t believe in celebrating holidays or birthdays.

They do not believe that Jesus is God. Instead, they think he is the angel “Michael”, the highest created being.

jehovah’s wittnesses are non-trinitarian, they belive that God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit are three different people, baptists are trinitarian, they also have no creed, the bible is their only creed, but they all share some common beliefs, the acronym, BAPTIST, my advise is to become a catholic, it’s the first church, it was established by Jesus, Peter, Jesus’ disciple was the first pope, before protestants came along there were only Catholics, and don’t just deny them because of what the bible says,
every denomination interprets the bible differently, the Catholics interperet the bible the best

  • Lone Dissenter again says:

Jehovah’s Witnesses stick only to what the bible teaches .

  • Unsolved Miseries says:

Jehovah’s Witnesses believe in a corrupted translation of the bible.

  • justbenelson says:

the differences could fill the gap of the grand canyon.

  • Jamie says:

jehova wittness belive hell is the ground and christians belive it is the lake of fire!

  • anonymousCapii says:

They (JWs) don’t believe that Jesus is God, they only believe that 144 000 will enter heaven, they don’t celebrate anything, they don’t watch tv etc etc. JW is a religion compiled of rules which they believe are biblical and they even have another book which adds to the bible, when in fact, Revelations 18 – 19 warns us that “those who would distort and twist this book; Whoever adds to the book, God will add the plagues written in the book. If anyone takes away from the book, God will take away his share of the tree of life and the holy city.” There are many things they believe which Christians do not.

  • Christian on Mission says:

As a Baptist who know a lot about Jehovah’s Witnesses, I will be happy to answer. Baptists do not believe that God has to be called by the name of Jehovah. We believe Jesus Christ died on a cross, not a stake. We also believe Jesus to be the son of God and part of the trinity, three persons in one being father, son and holy spirit. Jehovah’s witnesses do not consider Christ to be God’s equal and just consider him a “god.” Baptists, who are just a denomination of Christianity, believe in heaven and hell in the afterlife. JWs believe that if you are faithful and abide by the Watchtower Society’s tracks and literature that you will die and some day wake up and live forever on this earth. JW’s say God only approves of certain types of worship, particularly where you call him by the name Jehovah. I am currently studying Hebrew, and a funny thing to point out is that the word Jehovah is a German mistranslation. I still like the name but it is wrong to assume it’s God’s only name. The JWs also believe only 144,000 will rule in heaven with Christ, or as it was explained to me by the woman at my door, “They will also rule as princes on Earth.” JWs first thought the world would end in the year 1914 and that Adam became an archangel. We won’t go there though. These are just a few of these differences.

I can compare jehovah witnesses to christians (I don’t know about the baptist thing though) Jehovah witnesses believe that Jesus is the archangel Micheal-Christians believe that Jesus is the incarnate God. Jehovah’s witnesses believe the watchtower is a prophet of God (although I’ve heard from some jehovahs witnesses lately that they don’t believe that anymore) – Christians do not believe the watchtower is a prophet. In the history of Jehovah’s witness they have made several major predictions involving the end of the world, and the end of the churches and all have not happened. Christians have made similar predictions, but the Bible never explicitly predicts any date. Jehovah’s witnesses don’t believe in hell. Jehovah’s witnesses used to believe that they were the 144,000 mentioned in the Book of Revelations (even though when read in its own context it is boldly speaking of the 144000 being of Jewish descent.) Now since there are more than a million Jehovah’s witnesses they have had to alter that thought a bit. Christians do not believe this. Also the Jehovah’s witnesses bible reads slightly different than the christians bible. They are nearly the same, but in certain spots, especially ones that reference Christ’s divinity the Jehovah’s bible will have an altered wording as to avoid the obvious implications. There are some other differences but they become smaller in nature. (the micheal deal is probably the biggest difference) Anyway, hope this is of help. I must add while I am not a Jehovah’s witness, and I think that their logic may not stand on solid ground, I will say that the Jehovahs witness I was approached by was a kind, gentle, genuine man who I infact enjoyed and liked. In our efforts to find truth we must remember that those who disagree with us aren’t enemies, and are humans capable of love, and in need of love.

  • BAR-ANERGES says:

The term “Jehovah’s Witness” is a Scriptural description for True Christians (Isa.43:10-12).

When you compare two religions who both claim to be Christian you must use Scriptural evidence to identifying the true Christians? These evidences are not complicated.

Scriptures say true worshipers could be identified in at least three main ways: Love, Truth (Jn.4:23; 17:17), and Fruitage (Mt.7:16ff). Conversely, by these we can also identify the false.

The True religion would be primarily known for it’s love toward all (Jn.13:34,35; 1Jn.3:10-12; 4:7, 8). This would include their enemies (Mat.5:44-48; Rom.12:17-20; 1Pet.2:21-23; 3:8- 9). It would not participate in or condone carnal war (2Cor.10:3,4; Isa.2:4).

Apply this basic evidence to what happened in both world wars and current conflicts. People of the same religions met on battlefields and slaughtered one another because of nationalistic differences. Each side claimed to be Christian, and each side was supported by its clergy, who claimed that God was on their side. The definition of a “Christian” is “one who does what Christ would do”: WWJD (1 Pet.2:21). That slaughter of “Christian” by “Christian” is rotten fruitage. It is a denial of any claim to being the true Church (cf. Mat.26:52). No Christian would continue to associate with these religions (Rev.18:4). What is the historical record of Catholics and Protestants including Baptists regarding warfare? Jehovah’s Witnesses have never participated in warfare.

Another evidence is that the true religion would be made up of people who would all be in agreement on doctrine. It would not have members who believe differently on abortion, war, homosexuality or morals. Its members would not “agree to disagree” (1Cor.1:10; 2Cor.13:11; Phil.1:27). True Christians would be separated from the world by “truth” from God’s Word the Bible (Jn.17:17; 4:23). All its teachings would be based on the Bible (2 Tim. 3:14-16; Gal. 1:8, 9).

The true religion would have a reputation for promoting exceptional morality in its members (1Cor.6:9,10; Eph.5:3-5; 2 Pet.3:14; 2Cor.7:1; 2Tim.3:5). Does a religion *require* their congregation members to live moral lives, not allowing practicers of homosexuality, fornication, or adultery to be accepted members of their congregation? Or do they turn a blind eye? If so, their “fruitage” would show they are not true Christians.

True Christians would be associated with God’s name: (Jn.17:3,6,26; Acts 15:14/Isa.55:5; 1 Peter 2:9/Ex.19:4- 5; Ps.83:18). They would not use Bibles which have removed the Most Holy Divine Name of God. Replacing the Divine Name with the common noun “Lord” cannot be justified by any translational principles so it is a blatant “subtraction” from God’s word which brings a curse on anyone who approves it (Rev.22:18).

The true Church would be engaged in an unprecedented teaching activity (Matthew 24:14, 28:19, 20). Witnesses right now are performing the greatest Bible education work ever done in all human history!

There are more scripture evidences, however these are plenty to show which religion meets the requirements of being the True religion.

Apostate Christianity has neither the spiritual strength nor the support of God’s holy spirit to motivate people to follow the truthful teachings of Jesus Christ. For this reason, the result in Christendom is not true Christianity but counterfeit believers, “weeds” unfit for the Kingdom.-Mat13:24ff.

When you examine most religions you find that they cannot meet any of the other requirements of true Christianity. Their historical record is of bloodthirsty wars, immorality, sectarian violence and factional splits (Mat.7:21- 23; 2Tim3:5; Gal.5:19-23). Today Catholics continue to kill Catholics and Protestants kill Protestants, something true Christians would not do (1Jn.3:10,15; 4:8). Our hearts tell us that any religion who is willing to shoot their own members in warfare cannot possibly be trusted to teach Biblical truth.

I have found only one group which has presented absolute evidence of truly being Christian: Jehovah’s Witnesses. This is the testimony of the Holy Spirit (1Cor. 6:9-11; Gal.5:19-22).

As already stated, Jehovah’s Witnesses ARE true Christians.
