A question from a reader: Our 15 year anniversary is coming up in 2007 and I'd love to renew our vows. But our marriage is not on the rocks. I've heard that people that renew their vows are usually having marriage problems (my bro-in-law & wife divorced 1 year after renewing their vows!) We're very happy & I'm afraid everyone will worry that we want to renew our vows because we're having marital problems when that's not even the case. The reason we want to is because our ceremony was in spanish and we'd like to say our vows in english since it was a little more "robotic" in spanish.
